Lumber Shares

Our Mobile Dimension portable sawmill is located on our farm a few miles southwest of the city of Eugene. We can work with logs up to 5 feet in diameter and 16 feet in length. In order to produce good quality lumber, your tree should have reasonably straight sections that are 8 or more feet in length with minimal branching. We offer a 50/50 split of lumber milled from your logs if you bring us the logs. Hauling your logs to us is of course preferred but understandably not an option for some folks. If you are located in the Eugene/Springfield area the split is 60/40 in order to compensate for fuel costs and time spent in loading and hauling. The split will be adjusted if you are outside the area. Shoot me a text or use our Contact form and we can discuss your particular situation.

Let us know your preferred dimensions and we’ll contact you when your share of the lumber is ready for pick up. If you just want us to come out and remove fallen trees, in exchange for the logs we’ll take care of limbing the downed trees, stacking the brush and tidying up your property.

If you prefer to keep all the lumber from your logs, we charge $0.50/bf for softwood, $0.60/bf for hardwood. If you want to purchase lumber, our fir and cedar prices are typically the same as you would pay at Jerry’s Home Improvement Center. See our Lumber Sales page for more information.
